The light was hard and intense. It hit me in the mallow of my bones and pierced the soles of my feet. It rocked the teeth in my skull and sent me head first into the ground. Blood filled my mouth and the light made my body vibrate. I tried to open my eyes but I was unable to. The weight I carried was too heavy. It seemed that my entire body was raging a war against itself. My ribs throbbed and all I could think of was the light.
The light just beyond my reach.
